Client Rights

What treatment are you entitled to

As a member of the Cyprus Psychologists’ Association I conduct therapy session following the Ethical Principles and Codes of Conduct of Cyprus Psychologists’ Association. Additionally in my practice I follow the APA Ethical Principles of Psychologist and Code of Conduct.

In general, the client-therapist interaction is based on the fact that, clients have the right to require confidentially and to be treated with respect and dignity by their therapist. Moreover, they have the right to actively participate in discussions regarding their treatment. Clients are strongly urged to ask questions or clarifications if something is not clear in regard to their treatment. Clients also have the right to terminate therapy if are not satisfied from their therapist or if they feel that therapy is not needed anymore.
